Viral Video: Akshay Kumar Beats Mumbai Traffic Woes, Takes Metro To Reach Home
Akshay Kumar, in a viral video, can be seen travelling in Mumbai metro while being accompanied by producer Dinesh Vijan.

Despite being celebrities, BTown stars are known for having a common man’s element in them. Besides traveling in luxury cars, private jets, choppers, and many other fancy vehicles, there have also been times when our favourite stars were spotted ditching all of this and traveling like common citizens. From Nawazuddin Siddiqui to Amitabh Bachchan, Shraddha Kapoor, and many others, some popular actors have been seen using trains, buses, taxis, and even rickshaws for their travel. Joining them recently is none other than Bollywood’s Khiladi, aka Akshay Kumar. A video going viral is a true example of the actor’s humility as he goes incognito to travel in the Mumbai metro.

Giving his luxury cars a miss, the actor chose to travel by metro, and what’s more interesting is that none of the passengers were able to recognise him. The video, possibly shot by another co-passenger, shows the actor seated on the metro seat wearing a casual all-black outfit with a mask on his face, seemingly to avoid the crowd. However, he wasn’t alone. Akshay was accompanied by producer Dinesh Vijan, and the two could be seen talking in the video. If reports are to be believed, a few fans were able to recognise him after sometime and were left stunned by such a pleasant surprise. Some also clicked selfies with Kumar.

This is not the first time that the actor has been spotted travelling via metro. In February last year, Akshay Kumar, as part of promoting his film ‘Selfiee’, was seen entering a Mumbai metro station in full public view. From interacting with fans to joining a flash mob to dancing to the film’s song ‘Main Khiladi’, Akshay and co-star Emraan Hashmi had a fun time with fans.

On the work front

The actor, known for delivering back-to-back hits in a year, has not been able to maintain that reputation of late. Akshay’s last few ventures hardly made any noise at the box office.

Last seen in Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue, Kumar is now all set for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan alongside Tiger Shroff. A few interesting glimpses and posters of the film are also out.

Next, he has another much-awaited film in the works, i.e., Welcome To The Jungle. A third in the Welcome franchise, the film features a stellar starcast including Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Paresh Rawal, and Lara Dutta, among others. The film is slated for a December 2024 release.
