Yami Gautam REACTS To Article 370 Box Office, Says The Film 'Proved Naysayers Wrong': 'Many Told Us...'
Yami Gautam thanked fans for giving love and support to her film Article 370.

Yami Gautam and Priyamani’s film Article 370 finally hit theatres on Friday, February 23, and has been receiving a positive response from fans and critics alike. As per Sacnilk.com, the film earned Rs 10.25 crore at the Indian box office on its third day. The film minted Rs. 6.12 crores on its opening day. Reacting to this, Yami Gautam shared a post where she expressed gratitude to everyone and also hit back at those who blamed the film for favouring jingoism.

Taking to her X(formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, Yami Gautam wrote, “When we were making ‘Article 370’, so many people told us that this film won’t work with the audience, ‘it’s too technical, too many political jargons etc etc’. But we went ahead with our gut because we knew those naysayers were underestimating our audience. Thank you all for proving them absolutely wrong. Thank you so much for giving so much love to our small little film, with a big heart. We are humbled and will remain forever grateful to all of you. Dhanyawaad!

Jai Hind! .”

Take a look:

Yami Gautam’s movie got a warm welcome and did really well at the box office right from the beginning. On the first day, it made Rs 6.12 crores, and on the second day, it earned even more, reaching Rs 9.50 crores. So far, in just two days, it’s collected a total of Rs 25.45 crores, which means it’s going to be a big hit in the coming days.

Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, ‘Article 360’ is set against the backdrop of true events. The film offers audiences a gripping narrative woven with political intrigue, national security, and pulse-pounding action sequences. Besides Yami, the film also stars Priya Mani, Arun Govil, and Vaibhav Tatwawadi, among others.

News18 Showsha’s review of the film reads, “Article 370 has been shot in some real locations that impart a lot of authenticity to the narrative. Cinematographer Siddharth Vasani captures the essence of Kashmir with such aplomb that each frame set there smells of the valley. The solemnity of the narrative is perfectly conveyed through the muted tones of blue and grey that predominate the film. At 2 hours and 40 minutes, Article 370 largely manages to keep you hooked. The makers waste no time and dive into the crux of the story in the first half, and it makes for a fast-paced experience till the point of intermission.”

Previously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also talked about the film. He had said, “I have heard that a film on Article 370 is going to be released this week… It is a good thing as it will help people get the correct information.”
