Fawad Ahmed shared the heartbreaking news on social media platform X.

Australia cricketer Fawad Ahmed shared a heartbreaking post on social media as he lost his son after a long struggle. Ahmed’s son fought a long battle since his birth but unfortunately, he passed away on Monday as the cricketer posted the news on social media platform X.

“ill we meet again my little angel. Unfortunately after a long struggle my little man has lost the painful & tough fight, I believe you are in a better place, we will miss you so much. I hope no one ever goes through this pain, Request for Prayers,” he posted.

The netizens expressed grief for Fawad’s loss as former Pakistan pacer Sohail Tanveer also replied on his post.

“May Allah give u sabar bhai,” he posted.

Fawad has played three ODIs and two T20Is for Australia and claimed 3 wickets each in both formats.

He last played for Australia way back in 2013 against England. Fawad played 10 first-class matches in Pakistan before fleeing to Australia in 2010.

Ahmed was granted Australian citizenship in 2013, which cleared him to play for the full Australian national cricket team. His cousins Junaid Khan and Yasir Shah represent Pakistan team in international cricket.

He is the cousin of Pakistani international cricketers Junaid Khan and Yasir Shah.

Earlier this year, he was signed by Melbourne Renegades in the BBL as a replacement player for Shaun Marsh who had been injured with a hamstring strain.[
