IIM Kashipur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Max Healthcare Ltd to launch a Post Graduate Executive Programme in Hospital Management (PGEPHM). Executives and managers can apply for the nine-month postgraduate programme in hospital management.
The course will help develop and enhance their expertise in hospital operations, the IIM said. The course aims to address the increasing demand for trained manpower for the healthcare sector, the institute said. Both organisations also decided to conduct joint research, seminars, and other academic collaborations.
Speaking on this occasion, Prof Kunal Ganguly, Dean (Development), IIM Kashipur said, “This collaboration is a milestone for IIM Kashipur to diversify its education offering and contribute to the healthcare sector.” He added that the first such programme would be launched by the end of this year at the institute, where the classes will be taken by faculty from both IIM Kashipur and Max Healthcare, along with the provision of hands-on training at the hospitals.
Umesh Gupta, Senior Director-HR and Chief People Officer at Max Healthcare Ltd said, “In response to the rapid growth of the healthcare industry and increasing demand for skilled operations managers in hospitals, we have meticulously crafted a blended programme. Meanwhile, this year, IIM Kashipur has increased its seat from 264 to 320 for MBA programme and from 80 to 160 for MBA (Analytics) programme. The IIM has enrolled 321 students for 2023-2025 batch for its two-year MBA course. Additionally, 170 students have enrolled in the institute for its two-year MBA (Analytics) course.
