The closure of 2023 saw India men’s and women cricket teams complete another eventful cricketing year with some notable triumphs to their names.
The men’s team competed in the ICC World Test Championship and ODI World Cup finals last year while securing continental glory by winning the 2023 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. They also secured gold in the Hangzhou Asian Games to make history alongside their female counterparts.
2024 will see the Indian squads compete in a plethora of cricket series and tournaments.
The men’s team will kickstart their year with the second Test of the South African tour while the women will play their third and final ODI of a three-match against Australia at home.
In 2024, India will finally be looking to put an end to their 11-year ICC trophy drought. The T20I World Cup will be held in a few months’ time as coach Rahul Dravid’s men set their eyes on the ultimate prize. The last time India won that trophy was back in 2007, under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.
India will also be playing a five-match Test series against England and Australia in 2024. As for the women’s team, they will be competing against Australia in a three-match T20I series and later a three-match ODI series away from home. They will also be competing in the women’s T20 World Cup that will be hosted by Bangladesh in September.

ICC U19 World Cup in South Africa – January 19-February 11
Five-match Test series at home: India vs England (9:30 AM IST start times) – Hyderabad, Vizag, Rajkot, Ranchi, and Dharamsala will play hosts from January 25 to March 11.
