The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) recently made a few changes to the seat matrix for the special stray vacancy round of the NEET UG 2023 Counselling. As per the latest updates, the committee has added three Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) seats and removed the other three MBBS and one Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) seats from the current seat matrix. Candidates applying for the NEET UG 2023 Counselling can check the updated seat matrix information before making their choices on the official website at mcc.nic.in.
“The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has received information from following Institutes to remove/add the following seats in the seat matrix of Special Stray Vacancy Round of UG Counselling 2023,” the committee conveyed via an official notice.
Three additional management seats have been added by Sri Siddhartha Medical College in Karnataka, Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital in Chennai, and Vinayaka Mission Medical College and Hospital in Puducherry.
On the other hand, one dental seat designated for the Other Backward Class (OBC) category has been withdrawn by the Government Dental College and Hospital in Tamil Nadu. Additionally, Government Medical College, Alwar, took the same stand and withdrew one MBBS seat that was also allocated to the OBC group. Furthermore, two MBBS seats meant for both the open and OBC categories have been cancelled by the College of Nursing, RML.
