There are just no words to describe the horrors unleashed by Hamas in many residential localities in Israel. But over the past 24 hours, chilling reports of how the Hamas brutalised children, babies included, have shattered faith in humanity. Bodies mutilated, in some cases without recognition, bear testament to the systematic dehumanisation of ordinary Israelis. It is this dehumanisation that underscores the anti-Semitism of the Hamas and its Palestinian voters, who clearly are collaborating in a 21st century iteration of a pledged Holocaust. Here is a particularly chilling report.
The dance of death has been widesperead and systematically carried out to strike terror in Israeli hearts. Out of respect for the dead, it is undesirable to reduce fatalities to statistics, but in this case, to skip such details would be to do an injustice to the those who are fighting for justice.

Even President Joe Biden of America couldn’t hold himself back.
The rest of the West, too, has endorsed Biden and Prime Minister Modi too has taken an unapologetic view of the terror unleashed by the Hamas condemning it unequivocally. But no sooner had the prime minister made the statement the I.N.D.I Alliance criticised him for not taking a balanced view.

The I.N.D.I Alliance’s decision to urge the prime minister to take a middle of the road stand on the attack on Israel to balance the perceptions of Arab nations is to miss the wood for the trees. To suggest that the Modi government must take up the “root cause" of the Palestine dispute and condemn Israel equally is to hand India’s enemies a handle to beat it with on Kashmir. After all, doesn’t Pakistan always rake up the so-called “unaddressed root cause" of Kashmir to justify terror on Indian soil. Worse, to advocate balance is to justify Hamas’s dehumanizing style of retributive violence. In any case, India could think about reciprocating had the Arab world been keener on putting India’s national interests first. Israel, in this regard, has proven to be a more steadfast ally.
