Watch: Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj Perform Cristiano Ronaldo's 'Siuu' Celebration Against Netherlands

Mohammed Siraj is a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, and Virat Kohli also recently expressed his fondness for the Portuguese footballer as the duo copied Cristiano’s ‘Siuu’ celebration against the Netherlands. India squared off against the Dutch in their final World Cup 2023 group game at Bengaluru on Sunday.

While Siraj is often seen celebrating while copying Ronaldo’s signature goal celebration, Kohli also joined in to do CR7’s iconic pose after the Indian pacer picked up Wesley Barresi’s wicket to draw first blood for India.

Netherlands given were a massive target of 411 runs to chase by the Men in Blue, and they were handed an early blow when Siraj got Wesley to give away a leading edge from his willow, and KL Rahul took a splendid catch to do the rest.

The wicket helped India tighten their grip on the contest, after which Siraj celebrated with the rest of his teammates, he did the signature ‘Siuu’ celebration which the pacer has done often in the previous World Cup games as well, and Kohli also joined in to emulate Cristiano’s iconic celebration.

Recently during a brand-endorsed public interaction, Kohli revealed that his favourite club is Manchester City, but previously he supported teams wherever Ronaldo played.

“My favorite football club right now is Manchester City because they’re very sweet and they invited us recently, and we had a lot of fun,” Kohli was quoted as saying.

“Wherever Ronaldo played. Since he has left the Premier League now I support Manchester City,” Virat added further on how he started supporting Manchester City since Ronaldo left the Premier League for the Saudi Pro League last year.

Virat had earlier smashed a half century at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, missing out on a chance to score his 50th ODI century, having equalled Sachin Tendulkar’s tally of 49 ODI tons against South Africa.
