Robert Vadra has claimed he is being victimised for "political gains", a day before the Dhingra Commission which is probing controversial Haryana land deals involving him submits its report.
"Almost a decade of governments false and baseless accusations on me ! They cannot prove anything without proof n there is nothing there to prove ...I will always be used for political gains, I know ... But I will walk with my head held high as in time and with the truth, which will conquer incorrect perceptions, created! about me", Vadra wrote on his Facebook post on Thursday.
The BJP immediately hit back at Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law saying the law will catch up with him.
"Congress is in the habit of first doing wrong and then when there is a probe, say they are being targeted."
Congress leader Sanjay Jha backed Vadra saying, "We have been saying that there has been a vendetta politics going on by BJP for their own benefit".
Haryana Minister Anil Vij also hit out at Vadra. "CAG too has corroborated that Vadra has violated rules. We set up a judicial commission to look into all aspects of the case and their report will be submitted any time now," he said.
Commenting on Vadra's Facebook post, he added, "The guilty will make noise about their innocence".
