Patna: A day after a sting operation showed him accepting advance money from a businessman, JDU leader Awadhesh Kushwaha has resigned from Nitish Kumar's cabinet.
JDU chief Sharad Yadav said that the party asked for Kushwaha's resignation and has forwarded it to the Governor. The JDU claiming the moral high ground saying it has zero tolerance for corruption.
In the sting video, Kushwaha is seen taking money from a person and promising him favours when the grand alliance comes to power. Kushwaha is also seen talking to UP Industries Minister and telling him about helping the so called businessman.
The voting for the 243-member Bihar Assembly will be on October 12, 16, 28, November 1 and 5. The counting of votes will be on November 8.
