The channel topped the charts on April 16, 23 and 30.

New Delhi: CNN- IBN, India’s best English news channel is the No.1 English news channel during polling hours across the first three phases of polling on April 16, 23 and 30. (Source: TAM). The channel is also the most viewed during polling hours on the third polling day on April 30.

The third phase of polls had a total of 14.4 crore Indians voting for 1,567 candidates across 1, 65,112 polling stations.

A look at the market share also shows a skew in favor of CNN-IBN, with the market share of CNN-IBN showing a 17 per cent increase in the 18th week over the 17th week in 2009, while that of NDTV 24x7 shows a 12 per cent drop and a dip of 5 per cent in case of Times Now. (Source: TAM).
