Shimla: The Congress on Wednesday expelled 25 'rebel' candidates in Himachal Pradesh, including an MLA, for six years. Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) chief Virbhadra Singh expelled MLA Yograj from Dehra,
former minister Ishwar Dass (Ani) and former MLAs Kashmir Singh (Ghumarwin) and Mast Ram (Karsog) and 21 others who are contesting against party candidates in the assembly polls, the party said.
The action was taken on the recommendations of Birender Singh Chaudhary, General Secretary, All India Congress Committee (AICC), Incharge of Himachal Pradesh. The party had earlier expelled six rebels. The expelled leaders include Raj Singh Thakur (Chamba), Surender Thakur (Dalhousie), Malender Rajan, (Indora-SC) ,Pankaj (Fatehpur),Baldev Jolig (Lahul and Spiti), Dharamvir Dhami (Manali), Premlata (Kullu), Kehar Singh (Anni -SC) and Kapil Dev (Drang ).
The others are Mast Ram (Karsog -SC), Jagdish (Joginder Nagar), Shakuntla Kashyap and Parshotam,(Balh-SC)Ram, Jaswal (Gagret), Mahender, (Kutlehar),Vijay Kaushal, (Jhandutta), Nand Lal (Ghumarwin), KD Lakhanpal(Bilaspur), Amar Chand Pal(Arki), Paramjeet Pummy (Doon), Kirnesh Jung (Paonta Sahib) and Badri Parshad, (Rohroo-SC).
