New Delhi: The Congress on Tuesday protested outside Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda's residence against the Rail Budget 2014. During the protest, a Congress leader stomped on Gowda's nameplate as protesters shouted slogans at the Rail Minister.

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has slammed the Rail Budget. "Uninspiring budget, it's like a service budget. States like Kerala and Bengal have been left out. It's not pro-poor," Rahul said.

Congress leader Veerappa Moily said that the Budget had no vision. "There is no national vision, this is nothing but mere tokenism. Just talking about safety and other issues is not enough. Where is the money? How will it be allocated," Moily said.
