Delhi: 'AAP government did not set aside fund for its Rs 6 crore power subsidy'
The Delhi government submitted an affidavit in court stating that the AAP government did not allocate any funds to finance the subsidy.

New Delhi: The Arvind Kejriwal regime, which ruled Delhi for 49 days, did not allocate any funds to finance the subsidy on electricity for the people of the national capital, the Delhi government told the High Court on Tuesday.

The Delhi government submitted an affidavit in court stating that the AAP government did not allocate any funds to finance the Rs 6 crore subsidy which it gave to those who did not pay the electricity bill from October 2012 to May 2013.

The lack of a fund will mean that no one will benefit from the scheme now.

The affidavit was submitted after a PIL was filed before the High Court calling the subsidy unconstitutional.
