Patna: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejrwal was on Thursday shown black flags on his arrival at Patna airport. According to initial reports, the flags were allegedly shown by rebel Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers.
Kejriwal is on a one-day tour to Bihar. As per the schedule, the CM is scheduled to share the dais with Bihar CM Nitish Kumar at an event on “empowering citizens through efficient public delivery system’.
Recently, the Bihar CM was the chief guest at an event organised by Delhi government to give away awards to people of Bihar and Poorvanchal (eastern Uttar Pradesh) living in Delhi, who have made significant contributions in various fields. During the event, Nitish had invited Kejriwal to come and speak on the public delivery system in Patna.
On Thursday, Kejriwal and Nitish will have lunch at the Circuit House in Patna. The Delhi CM is also likely to visit Bodh Gaya during his visit.
This visit comes ahead of the Bihar polls where Nitish is leaving no stone unturned to defeat the Narendra Modi led Bharatiya Janata Party. Kejriwal had extended his full support to his Bihar counterpart's bid for another shot at power as the two leaders attacked the Prime Minister for announcing a Rs 1.25 lakh crore package for the election-bound state
