Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav has been named in an FIR filed in the MP professional examination board case popularly known as Vyapam scam. "The process to book MP Governor for irregularities in Vyapam has been initiated," said a police officer on Tuesday.
The manipulation in selection process for government jobs, conducted by Vyapam, is being probed by a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
While admitting that the FIR process is on, senior police officer Ashish Khare said, "As per the High Court directions to the SIT, the STF (Special Task Force) will do what the SIT recommends."
SIT chief Chandresh Bhushan had said on Monday that many people have complained to him. He said Congress leader Digvijaya Singh too has complained and a probe is being carried out.
The government has told the High Court said till now, 539 people have been arrested and 218 are absconding in the Vyapam scam.
