Chennai: A Chennai court has directed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and her aide Sasikala to appear before it on April 3 in connection with an income tax case.

Both had approached the Supreme Court to dismiss the case but the apex court ruled that the Egmore court must complete the trial within four months.
