The controversy over Sethusamudram project just doesn’t seem to be dying out. On Wednesday, AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa flagged off a statewide protest against the project in Ooty.
She said the statewide bandh called by the DMK on October 1 is illegal. Jayalalithaa added that her party would continue with the protests till the DMK government in the state is dismissed.
“Fishermen don't want this project. The project is bad for Tamil Nadu but if the DMK government is hell bent on it, they should not destroy the Rama Sethu. This project is undesirable,” she said.
