Ranchi: Workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) clashed at Ranchi airport on Saturday morning, forcing police to resort to lathi charge to control the situation.
In an apparent retaliation to the booing of Chief Minister Hemant Soren at an event co-chaired with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, JMM workers held protests at the airport against the arrival of BJP leader and Union Steel Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.
After being booed by BJP workers, Soren had challenged the BJP to face him in electoral ground.
