Bangalore: Karthik Gowda, the son of Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda, may be in for more trouble after he failed to appear for questioning in the actress rape case on Thursday. The Bangalore Police Commissioner, MN Reddy, has now said that they will treat Karthik as an absconder.
"We gave Karthik Gowda two notices. He hasn't responded to either. So we are treating him as an absconder," Reddy said.
Meanwhile, his bail hearing has been adjourned to Friday morning.
Karthik faces arrest after a magistrate court in Bangalore issued an arrest warrant against him for failing to appear for questioning. He is accused of raping and cheating a Kannada actress who claimed that he promised to marry her, then reneged and got engaged to another woman last month.
