LJP will fight from Jharkhand despite Cong: Paswan
Paswan says his duty was only to see how many seats his party gets.

Upset about being left out of the UPA alliance in Jharkhand, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) President Ram Vilas Paswan said in an exclusive interview to CNN-IBN Sumon K Chakraborty that he will put up candidates from Jharkhand anyway.

Sumon K Chakraborty: You made a deal with Lalu Prasad's RJD. Why did the Congress get left out?

Ram Vilas Paswan: My duty was only to see how many seats my Lok Janashakti Party gets. I tried my level best to contact RJD and Congress party leaders including Shinde ji. I am unhappy that the Congress did not take it seriously. There was discussion in 2004 and we had met two-three times. This time, there was no meeting.

Sumon K Chakraborty: Now, Congress is saying that in Jharkhand they have done a deal. They are willing to give Lalu Prasad only two seats and none for you.

Ram Vilas Paswan: I am not interested. We will be fighting from six seats in Jharkhand, that has already been announced.

Sumon K Chakraborty: Will the post-election scenario be more important than what is happening now?

Ram Vilas Paswan: Yes, it will be. I hope UPA returns to power with thumping majority.
