Pune: Even as the controversy over his 'puppy' remark continues, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is leaving no stone unturned to reach out to voters. The Bharatiya Janata Party's election campaign committee chief will interact with students of Pune's Fergusson College on Sunday.

Apart from inaugurating the college's amphitheatre, Modi will also address BJP workers late afternoon at the BJ Medical College ground.

The Gujarat Chief Minister came under the attack by political parties after, in an interview to Reuters, he claimed innocence in the 2002 riots saying "I would feel guilty only if I did something wrong". "While driving if a puppy comes under the wheel, will it be painful or not? Of course it is...I'm a human being. If something bad happens anywhere, it is natural to be sad," he had added.

While the BJP has been trying hard to defend its leader, various political parties have demanded an apology from Modi.
