New Delhi: With his government completing one year in power on May 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing people through his radio program 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday. Modi will highlight his government's achievements in past one year.
The party and government commemorated the completion of one year of the government as 'Jan Kalyan Parv' celebrations. Union Ministers, BJP MPs and party functionaries travelled across the country to inform people about the welfare measures taken for the underprivileged sections and farmers as part of a week-long 'Jan Kalyan Parv'.
This will be his eighth edition of the radio address. In his earlier addresses, Modi reached out to students, farmers and also focussed on other issues concerning people. In a special radio address, Modi was joined by US President Barack Obama.
Modi led the BJP-led NDA to a massive win in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections whose results were announced a year ago on May 16. It was after 30 years that any party managed to secure majority in the Lok Sabha with the BJP alone winning 282 seats.
