Mumbai: Just hours after Nationalist Congress Party workers ransacked Aam Aadmi Party office in Mumbai, local police detained AAP leader Mayank Gandhi on Saturday evening.
Gandhi who is also AAP's Lok Sabha candidate was detained by Mumbai Police when he was on his way to the NCP office.
The youth wing activists of the NCP earlier in the day burnt an effigy of former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal outside AAP office.
The protestors had also accused Mayank Gandhi of alleged involvement in a real estate- land scam.
The AAP during its protest in Mumbai had accused the state power firm and Energy Minister Ajit Pawar of wasting crores of money in the last three years, and helping a nexus of politicians, bureaucrats and corporate houses burden the common man with inflated bills.
