Srinagar: Jammu & Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday met Union Defence Minister Arun Jaitley who is visiting the state to take stock of security situation there.
Abdullah tweeted about the meeting that took place in the afternoon. Calling the meeting productive, the J&K CM said the two leaders discussed issues related to defence and finance.
"Had a very productive meeting with @arunjaitley in Srinagar this afternoon. Discussed matters related to both defence & finance with him," tweeted Omar.
Jaitley is on a two-day visit to Jammu & Kashmir. His visit comes just a day after ceasefire violations by Pakistan army troops along the Line of Control.
Speaking on the ceasefire violation that took place along the LoC on Friday, the Defence Minister said, "Our soldiers are aware of what kind of violations take place and are capable of giving befitting reply."
