New Delhi: AIADMK chief Jayalalitha on Friday said the 2G scam predates former telecom minister A Raja and DMK Chief M Karunanidhi's grand nephew Union Textiles Minister Dayanidhi Maran should be probed.
Jayalalitha has welcomed the Supreme Court decision to monitor the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) but she also has come down heavily on the CBI for its inaction.
The AIADMK chief slammed the central investigating agency for not interrogating Raja and insisted on her demand for a parallel JPC probe. She even criticized the DMK Chief along with his nephew Maran and called for their investigation as well. .
"Resignation of Raja is not the end of 2G controversy, it's just the beginning. The scam reached Himalayan heights during Raja's tenure, his predecessors and his nephew Dayanidhi Maran," said Jayalalitha.
