New Delhi: As part of preparations for the Lok Sabha polls, Rahul Gandhi interacted with members of the Congress Working Committee on the strategy ahead and the issues to be stressed.
Rahul's interaction came at a time when the AICC is in the midst of formulating a manifesto through an elaborate exercise to get the maximum possible feedback and suggestions to make it a document that will click with the masses.
After a two-hour long meeting, party General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi said that Rahul sought suggestions from the party leaders over the manifesto and other politically relevant issues.
"The Manifesto Committee, headed by AK Antony, will consider these suggestions", he said adding that the Congress Vice President wanted to know from the party leaders what outlook and ideas the party should adopt.
The meeting came a day after Rahul held a meeting with young party leaders to draw the contours of the 2014 election manifesto.
Rahul had stressed on aggressively propagating the achievements of the UPA government among people.
Party sources said Rahul is likely to hold interaction with farmers at a meeting near Sonipat in Haryana on Sunday as part of the party's exercise to get direct feedback from various stakeholders in the manfiesto-making exercise.
