Would have been great if Advani fought from Bhopal: BJP's Alok Sanjar
Alok Sanjar said that he never thought that he would be fielded from Bhopal in the 2014 elections as he didn't seek a BJP ticket.

Bhopal: While many have termed Jaswant Singh's suspension from the Bharatiya Janata Party a disaster, party's candiadte from Bhopal Lok Sabha seat Alok Sanjar has justified the move saying the BJP is a disciplined organistaion. "The party doesn't tolerate if its leaders, irrespective of their stature, disrupt discipline, and we have a example in front of our eyes," said Sanjar. Sanjar said the BJP has inculcated in him to work in a disciplined manner.

Sanjar, who was chosen by the BJP to contest from Bhopal, the seat which was reportedly being eyed by BJP patriarch LK Advani, hinted that the senior leader wanted to contest from Madhya Pradesh. "Through news dailies, media reports we got to know that Advaniji was willing to contest from Bhopal. It would have been pleasure if Advani would have been contested from Bhopal," he said. However, he later added that his candidature was the collective decision of the party.

He said that he never thought that he would be fielded from Bhopal in the 2014 elections as he didn't seek a BJP ticket. He also denied reports of indifference over his candidature.

Taking on the Congress, Sanjar said people are weary of corruption, inflation and 'hereditary rule'. "Members of one family have been ruling the country since Independence. People want to get rid of them," said Sanjar, who has been the part of the BJP since his student life.

With just a few days left for voting in Bhopal, Sanjar vowed to make the city more beautiful and more prominent on the country's map if he gets elected.

"I have been born and brought up in this place. Bhopal is like my home and people of Bhopal are like family members. I will try to beautify this city as much as possible. And I will try to make it most beautiful city in India." he said.

He also spoke on Vyapam and PMT scams, which has hit the BJP government in the state, hinting that he will try to initiate CBI inquiry in the case. "I wish and will try that my image remains untainted," he added.

Bhopal will vote on April 17. Senjar will take on AAP candidate Bhopal gas tragedy activist Rachna Dhingra and Congress's PC Sharma amongst others.
