New Delhi: Asus has launched its new low-cost Android smartphone in India. Named ZenFone C, the new phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with Asus Zen UI atop.
This new phone in the ZenFone series has a 4.5-inch display (854x480) and a 5-megapixel rear camera with PixelMaster technology and a 0.3-megapixel front camera. According to Asus, "PixelMaster's Low Light mode employs pixel-merging technology to capture up to 400 per cent-brighter photos at night, or in low-light scenes, without the need for a flash." ZenFone C's camera app also includes Time Rewind that snaps even before the shutter button is pressed.
This dual-SIM phone is packed with a 2100mAh removable battery that is claimed to offer up to 30 hours of 3G talk time and over 10 days of standby. The ZenFone C is engineered with a 1.2GHz Intel CloverTrail processor with quad-thread Hyper-Threading Technology paired with 1GB of RAM.
The ZenFone C comes with an internal storage of 8GB, which is expandable up to 64GB using a microSD card.
Priced at Rs 5,999, the phone is available in three colours - red, white and black.
The Zenfone C is available to purchase on Flipkart starting February 11 and will be available in Asus exclusive stores from February 18.
