China-based Oukitel will soon launch its K10000 - touted as the world’s largest capacity battery smartphone.

Beijing: To bring convenience to smartphone users who often complain about low battery backup, Oukitel will soon roll out a device that packs a large 10,000 mAh 10-day battery.

The China-based mobile manufacturing company, due to its 10,000 mAh battery, named the smartphone as K10000 and a single full charge would last approximately 10 days.

However, it is still unclear whether the phone would have a quick charge or life cycle.

The phone would carry a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 chipset clocked at 1 GHz featuring Android 5.1 (Lollipop) Operating System, a report on Oukitel's website said.

K10000 features dual SIM (GSM and GSM) support, 5.5-inch screen with a high-definition 720p display. The phone has an 13 megapixel primary camera with dual-LED flash and a 5 megapixel front shooter.

According to a report on cell phone-dedicated web site, Phone Arena, the phone that runs on 2 GB of RAM and has 16 GB of expandable storage space is priced at $239.99.

Connectivity options include WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3G and 4G.

Recently, Oukitel launched its K4000 model that featured a big 4,000 mAh battery. The phone's charge lasted for seven days in "normal use". The phone also featured anti-crash corning gorilla glass.

"It can crack more than 600 walnuts before the screen breaks. You don't need to worry about your smartphone if you drop it accidentally and the phone is run over by a car," a report on Oukitel's website said.
