Canon India Announces Rayo R4 and Rayo i5 Mini Projectors in India
Canon India has announced two new variants of the Rayo mini projectors.

Canon India has announced that the company has started distributing Rayo Mini projectors in India. Targeted at both B2B and B2C segments, the two flagship models, Rayo i5 and Rayo R4 are compact, lightweight, and portable and aim to bet big on both style and imaging impressions. Canon India will be responsible for distribution of the two products in the country.

Kazutada Kobayashi, President & CEO, Canon India, said, “We have witnessed a shift in the usage pattern of projectors among Indian consumers which has led us to diversify in this space, launching a product that lets users screen where they want. With this defined and unique expansion to our portfolio, we foresee further development of our customer base in the country."

The Rayo mini projectors claim to carry a compact and light-weight design for easy portability. The devices aim to cater to business professionals, to help in their presentations on the go. The Rayo R4 weighs 169 grams while the Rayo i5 weighs 260 grams.

RAYO i5 offers wireless connectivity to avoid the hassles of cables. The wireless functionality will also allow users to share content from their Android/iOS devices through Mirroring/DLNA technology. The projectors offer stable and continuous brightness at 100 Ansi lm along with WVGA resolution for home entertainment such as movies or karaoke parties as well as business presentations on the go.

The Rayo R4 projects directly from mobile phones/tablets through connectivity with MHL cable and offers brightness of 50 Ansi lm. It can also be connected to a laptop with the Mini HDMI cable. Both the projectors also come with a mini tripod which is also height adjustable.

Rayo i5 has a 1,900 mAH battery which has a play time of up to 120 minutes at standard brightness as per the company. Whereas the R4 has a 1,700 mAH battery that can play for up to 150 minutes in standard brightness. The company also claims that LED light source lasts up to 20,000 hours in the Rayo i5 and 10,000 hours in the Rayo R4.

Both R4 & i5 come with built-in speakers making it a mobile companion for all projection needs. Users can also connect their headphones if required.

The Rayo R4 and i5 will be available for sale in India effective June 1, 2018. The R4 is priced at Rs 30 000.00 inclusive of all taxes and the i5 is priced at Rs 50 000.00 inclusive of all taxes.
