In order to help citizens in finding the nearest ATM, Google India has introduced a simple tool called “Find an ATM Near You”. The tool can be accessed right from the homepage of Google India—google.co.in.
Based on your location, the tool will show you nearby ATMs of all banks on Maps. However, it will not tell you whether that ATM has got enough cash or not.
A website called cashnocash.com recently surfaced which claims to help you spot the nearby ATM with cash. The website updates real time statistics based on the users' feedback and lets you know which ATM has cash, which has long queues and which has gone cash-dry.
Just log in and type in your area code. The website will display which ATM has cash and which doesn't.
Since the website updates data based on users' feedback, one can update the status by clicking the ATM venue link and then selecting one of the three options -- cash, long wait and no cash -- to help the website get updated for other users.(With IANS inputs)
