New Delhi: Facebook has introduced a new video tab to Page Insights that will allow page owners to monitor how their videos are doing on the social network.
The new addition will provide insights about Views and 30-second Views at the page level and top videos within a specified time frame and numbers associated with videos shared from other pages.
This feature is similar to the current tab for posts that shows which all posts are doing well on the page.
A report on The Next Web notes that earlier, page owners were only able to see metrics on a per-video basis. However, a separate tab will allow page owners to compare aggregated views and 30-second views within custom date ranges.
Page owners can also examine day-to-day viewing along with an option to switch between view types- organic vs. paid, auto-played vs. clicked-to-play, and unique vs. repeat- to get an exact picture of which video content was able to hit the most views.
With Facebook increasingly becoming a new place to sell video ads, the new addition seems like a wise decision. Also, with the option to fine tune the parameters of examining video content, it is surely going to get many likes when it will be made available in the coming weeks.
