New Delhi: Motorola India is all set to launch the much-awaited Moto X Force at its event today in Gurgaon. The phone, which is claimed to have the world's first shatterproof display, is, according to our source, expected to be priced at around Rs 50,000. This price is a good Rs 20,000 higher than its existing flagship phone in the Indian market - the Moto X Style.
However, given Motorola's past record of pricing its devices for the Indian market, we would expect it to be priced between Rs 40,000 and Rs 45,000. The phone is already listed on Amazon India.
The Moto X Force will be the most premium Motorola phone in the Indian market since its re-entry to the Indian market.
The Moto X Force uses the Moto ShatterShield display technology, which is said to be an integrated system consisting of five layers designed from materials that absorb shock from impact and are guaranteed not to shatter.

It features a 5.4-inch Quad HD display, 21 megapixel rear camera, and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera. Under the hood is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 with 2.0 GHz octa-core CPUs. The phone supports a microSD card of up to 2 TB.
The phone further includes TurboPower charging, which the company claims can give users up to 13 hours of power in just 15 minutes. It is said to give users up to 48 hours of battery life on a single charge.
The phone is being sold in the US by the name of the Droid Turbo 2, but it will be launched as the Moto X Force in India and other international markets.
