Microsoft has started to roll out the first major update to its Windows 10 operating system which, according to the company brings about a number of improvements.
One new feature that might be of interest to Indian users of Windows 10 is that Cortana - Microsoft's digital assistant - will now be available for them to give commands to. However, Cortana for Windows 10 will be available in India only in English.
Microsoft had previously announced in September that it will be bringing Cortana to India. The feature was first rolled out to Windows Insider Program members before being made available for general users.
Recently Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella had an embarrassing on-stage moment when Cortana couldn't get was he was commanding it to and presented irrelevant results.

Cortana was initially built for phones running on Windows, but Microsoft integrated it with Windows 10 and is gradually rolling it out for different locales.
The latest Windows 10 update bring Cortana to Japan, Australia, and Canada and India (in English). But new Cortana features such as using the device's pen to just scribble notes for Cortana or to book and track an Uber are for US users only.
