This Popular Streaming App Won’t Come To Apple’s Vision Pro Headset: Here’s Why
Apple Vision Pro headset is already confirmed to get a host of games and streaming apps ahead of the launch but this major app is missing.

Apple Vision Pro will have support for hundreds of games and streaming apps but one platform is giving it a miss at launch. Netflix has been confirmed saying that it won’t have a dedicated app for the Vision Pro headset. In fact, the company has also said that its iPad app will not be compatible with the headset as well.

So, how does one watch the Netflix shows on the headset which costs over Rs 3 lakh? The platform says your only option to watch Netflix content on the Vision Pro headset is through the web browser version.

But won’t that lower the streaming quality on the headset which has all the premium bells and whistles? Yes, it would definitely give you a lower video quality and the so-called immersive experience of the Vision Pro will not be coming to Netflix shows and movies anytime soon.

Netflix is clearly not enticed by the incoming headset from Apple and the decision to opt against an app for the platform could be because of its overall strategy in this segment. After all, Netflix did launch a dedicated app for the Meta Quest headset but its last update came a while back, which suggests the company is not too keen on the device ecosystem, at least for the time being.

Apple Vision Pro will be available for pre-order in a few days, starting on January 19th in the United States. The product will then launch on February 2nd.

As the media gets their hands on the product for reviews, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed that Apple could be planning to expand the availability of the Vision Pro to the rest of the world before its WWDC 2024 event.

It has also been pointed out that Apple might be working on a way to ensure that $3,499 priced Vision Pro buyers get the right size by using a facial scan. This is because Apple wants the Vision Pro to fit correctly on users’ heads for optimal performance, and this is only possible if they buy the headset with the right Light Seal and Headband.

In the box, Apple will include the headset itself, a Solo Knit Band, Dual Loop Band, a Light Seal, two Light Seal Cushions, the cover for the front of the device, a polishing cloth, and a USB-C power adapter and cable.
