New Delhi: Twitter has finally launched its 'while you were away' feature to the Android platform, a month after introducing it for iOS platform.
In its blogpost last month, Twitter announced that it will bring in a recap of some of the top Tweets that the user might have missed from the accounts they follow.
This feature was rolled out to iOS users a month back with a promise of being extended to other platforms as well.
It doesn't show tweets in a chronological order, but sorts 'best tweets' based on user engagement. If a user already spends a lot of time on Twitter then the recap will not show that often.
Whenever a user logs in the Twitter mobile app, 'Recaps' marked with 'when you were away' will be the first thing they see in their main Twitter feed, TechCrunch reported. The same feature will be soon rolled out to the site as well.
