Xiaomi Mi 8 Camera Samples Shared by Xiaomi CEO Hours Before Launch
Xiaomi Mi 8's camera samples have been shared on Weibo by the company's CEO.

Xiaomi is set to bring its Mi smartphone successor in the form of Mi 8 at a launch event in China today. Just hours before the launch, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has shared some sample photographs which have allegedly been clicked by Xiaomi's upcoming flagship smartphone. The images showcase the smartphone's camera performance in different lighting conditions. The images have been shared by the Xiaomi CEO on his Weibo account.

As per reports, the images clicked through the Mi 8's camera show the Ping An Financial Center in Shenzen. The images have been clicked during different times of the day and show the Shenzen based structure during the day, dawn and at the night. From what can be seen, the images are quite clear and barely contain any noise. Even the colours on the images are bright and offer a good viewing experience. The pictures do not pixelate even upon zooming.

In addition to the Mi 8, Xiaomi will be launching a budget variant of the smartphone in the form of Mi 8 SE that will also sport a Dual camera setup with AI enhancements. A camera sample of the SE variant was also shared on Weibo but not by the Xiaomi CEO. Here is the image clicked through the smartphone:

Xiaomi Mi 8 Expected Specifications

As per reports till date, Xiaomi's Mi 8 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 845 SoC and to carry an 8GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage. As could be seen in the leaked video, the smartphone will sport an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo with Xiaomi's own MIUI on top. It might also come with an iPhone X like notch display.
