Bengaluru Woman Claims Auto Driver Spat On Her, 'Disgusting' Says Internet

There are many instances that exemplify the absence of basic civic sense and etiquette among individuals, particularly in public settings. Such habits often cause trouble for others. Recently, a woman in Bengaluru had an unpleasant encounter with an autorickshaw driver. Allegedly, the driver spat on her.

Parishi, who is employed in Bengaluru as a software engineer, posted images showing spit marks on her clothes. In the pictures, one can see her dressed in a white shirt with a pair of black trousers, with visible red stains on her hands and the back of the shirt. According to the post, the incident occurred in Indiranagar when she was walking around the area.

“While walking around Indiranagar, an auto driver spat on me, and it happened to be the day I wore a white shirt,” she wrote.

While Parishi’s post evoked a wave of reactions on social media, it also got the attention of the Bengaluru City Police. “Please provide specific area details and your contact number via DM,” the department wrote in the comments.

On the other hand, a user wrote said, “That’s disgusting!” while another commented, “Did you notice his number plate? Report this and police will try to recover the number from CCTV. This kind of behaviour should be punished. It might seem a long process but he won’t dare to do this next to anyone.”

“Disgusting. Started happening even in Indiranagar area too,” a comment read. Meanwhile, another one shared his experience, “Oh man…. It happened with me once on a moving bike. The bus driver spat on my shoulder, arm and the feeling I had was yuck!.”

Shared on Sunday, June 3, the post has been viewed over 5 lakh times. Earlier this year, a similar story went viral where a Delhi woman claimed that a man spat on her at a metro station. In her LinkedIn post, she claimed that the man was chewing tobacco, standing behind her on the escalator right before spitting on her. She also shared a picture of the man.
