Bihar Woman Makes Rs 2000 Per Day From Mushroom Cultivated In Bedroom

There are many people in India who have started their own businesses and are running them from their own homes. The government has also been making a lot of efforts and providing such entrepreneurs with the right resources. One such incident has been going viral on social media, where a woman started running her mushroom business from her own room. As per reports, she has been doing it quite well and already has a lot of customers. The government has been providing her with free seeds, polythene bags, and chemicals, which has helped her run the business.

According to reports, the name of the woman is Nisha, who belongs to the Matihani 1 Panchayat of Be It has been found that she took a five day training from the Agricultural Science Centregusarai district of Bihar. and then started her own business in her room. She was forced to do this because she didn’t have any other land. So, she decided to make the most of her opportunity. As a result, Nisha made a plan to start mushroom production in her bedroom.

During one of her interviews, Nisha shared her indigenous technique that has helped her grow mushrooms in her room. She said that she added a chemical called Bavistin fungicide to wheat straws and leaves, and then left them to swell for 12 hours. After that, the chemical is dried in the shade for 15 hours. Then, the production process starts. She further added that for processing, small amounts of chaff and seeds are put in polythene bags, and packets are made. After this, she makes a string of thread, ties 10 bags to it, hangs it on the wall, and then keeps it in the bedroom. To keep the temperature of the room suitable for the mushrooms, she provides ventilation with a fan and also keeps spraying water from a sprinkler.

Nisha also stated that the whole process of mushroom production takes around 30 days. She says that even in the village, mushrooms are easily sold at a rate of Rs 200 per kg. By doing this mushroom production, she has been able to earn around Rs 2000 per day.
