Delhi Bus Turns Into A WWE Arena As Passengers Slap, Punch And Kick Pickpockets
The footage captures passengers on a Delhi bus brutally beating and kicking two men accused of pickpocketing on a moving bus.

Similar to a scene from Munna Bhai MBBS, where Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s character faces public wrath for pickpocketing, a chilling real life video has taken the internet by storm. The footage captures passengers on a Delhi bus brutally beating and kicking individuals accused of pickpocketing on a moving bus. The widely circulated video shows a group of commuters taking matters into their own hands, even as the alleged thieves attempt to apologise and are seen crying uncontrollably. This incident is not new, as several cases of theft on Delhi’s buses have surfaced in recent months. While some social media users applauded the public’s effort to teach pickpockets a lesson, others blamed the local government for removing marshals from the bus.

The video begins with multiple people beating the two pickpockets repeatedly, while other passengers could be heard shouting. Despite the pleas for mercy, the assault continues, as passengers kick the individuals multiple times. The person recording the video could be heard instructing the bus driver to stop the vehicle directly at a police station. Sharing the video on X, the user wrote, “Passengers beat up pickpockets. Delhi buses have become a den of crime. The incidents of pickpocketing in Delhi buses are increasing. Passengers are badly troubled by pickpockets. Every day, phones and purses of hundreds of passengers are being stolen in Delhi buses.”

After the video was shared on X, it has gone viral and garnered over 13,000 views.

A user supporting the public’s actions, suggested that physical punishment is appropriate for such individuals.

Another user sarcastically suggested that the public should beat them nicely.

An individual praised the public and claimed this has become a common problem.

One user questioned the bus conductor and blamed them for making videos rather than taking action.

A similar incident surfaced last year, where a female thief successfully pickpocketed a woman in Bengaluru. However, in this case, a smart auto driver played a key role in stopping the attempt by assisting a BMTC passenger in capturing the woman’s pickpocket. The accused was caught while attempting to run after she stole around Rs 11,000 from a female passenger.

According to a report by The Times of India, when the auto driver, Yousuf, was approached by a distressed woman inquiring about another woman wearing a black scarf, he kindly decided to help her. Yousuf picked her up and searched for the pickpocket and successfully located the accused within 15 minutes. However, the accused attempted to divert the situation by falsely accusing the auto driver and the other woman of harassment. She even tried to steal Yousuf’s phone. Despite these challenges, they managed to recover the stolen amount.
