An Instagram user on her clip commented, “Man… This was so funny! Being an Indian, never notice such subtle things.” Another person wrote, “Aw, you’re so cute. This is actually a really sweet reel. So glad you found our nods cute. This is a first. I hope you are having the best time in India.”

In the comments, many people also joked that not all head nods mean agreement, some also show disappointment. Making this point, an X user joked, “When you go to my dad’s house you notice 40 types of head nods and they’re all of disappointment toward me and my life choices.” Another person wrote, “Nailed it! They all mean yes unless you are a disappointed Indian mom then it means you are dead.”

People also took to the comments section to describe the head nods in detail. An X user elaborated, “First variation- Nod when we agree. One of the examples would be when somebody asks did you get hurt, I hope you are alright. 2nd nod which is the quick nod is when you need to assure someone quickly eg- Are you free for a quick catch-up? The third nod is more of a random head nod when we are listening carefully and that nod usually comes before we reply to somebody while agreeing with the person. Finally 4th one is when we nod while replying to something like How have you been/ how’s life rolling?”

Ella makes travel content along with her family members. They run the YouTube channel Living the Jo Life. They have over 80,000 Instagram followers, while their YouTube channel boasts over 1.9 lakh subscribers. The family of three has so far travelled to over 65 countries.
