Hyderabad Man Finds Bone In His Paneer Biryani Order, Here's What Happened Next
The man allegedly found a bone in his plate of paneer biryani, which he ordered from a popular Mughlai food franchise in Hyderabad.

Imagine you ordered a dish of your choice, waited patiently for it to arrive and now finally when you sit down to take the first bite, you notice some fishy in it. Things get worse when you are vegetarian and end up finding some non-vegetarian bit in the food. This is sure to leave the calmest of us angry and irritated. This is exactly what happened with a Hyderabad resident recently.

Avinash, a Swiggy customer, allegedly found a bone in his plate of paneer biryani which he ordered from a restaurant named Mehfil, a well-known Mughlai food franchise in the city.

Sharing his ordeal on X (formally known as Twitter), the customer wrote, “I have ordered a paneer biryani from Mehfil, Nizampet Kukatpally. I got a bone in it.” He also shared a photo of the meal he received and one can clearly spot a bone-like item in it.

With many other X users criticising and slamming the restaurant for their alleged careless approach and ignorance of safety regulations, online food delivery aggregator Swiggy also took up the matter and responded.

“Hi there, we’re very sorry to hear you received a non-veg item in your vegetarian order. Please share the order ID so we may to pull up the details and assist you better,” wrote Swiggy.

Some X users, however, also seized the opportunity to poke fun at the situation. Reacting to the now-viral post, a user joked, Saar, “Panner biriyani price mein chikan biryani, you are in profit (Sir, you got chicken in paneer biryani, you are in profit,” while another wrote, “Sorry to hear this. Only bone. No meat.”

Fortunately, according to Anivash, his issue was resolved. “The issue has been resolved I’m sharing this because there are quite a few members (who) are suffering so that the food inspection can conduct the quality issue,” he wrote.

While in this specific case, the complaint was resolved, many other customers continue to face similar problems with their food delivery orders.

In fact, Avinash’s X post was actually in response to a complaint by another X user who had allegedly found bugs in chicken biryani ordered from a different outlet of the same franchise.

He had mentioned that despite complaining to Swiggy, he was only given a compensation of only Rs 64, against his order which amounted to a total of Rs 318.
