A Russian tourist holidaying in Pattaya, Thailand, was captured on video shaving the head of a local barber as payback for a disappointing haircut he received. The alarming footage, circulating online for over a week, depicts a Caucasian man getting a trim at the Salute Barbershop in Pattaya. Witnesses reported that he entered the establishment and attempted to convey his desired haircut using hand gestures due to his purported limited English proficiency. At one stage, the man, later identified as a Russian visitor, became enraged upon seeing the unsatisfactory result in the mirror. He proceeded to pound his fists on the table, curse at the barber and eventually grab the shears to trim part of his fringe in retaliation.
In the video, the unidentified man can be heard shouting, “You crazy motherf*****. I showed you. What the f***. Where are my bangs? What the f***.” After his furious outburst, the Russian man seizes a pair of clippers and proceeds to shave part of the Thai barber’s fringe before swiftly exiting the barbershop without settling his bill. The entire incident left both the staff and other customers utterly speechless.
Suphachai, the 32-year-old barber, recounted to reporters, “After he slammed the table, he grabbed my head, pulled it down, then trimmed my hair with a clipper. I didn’t retaliate, but I felt angry. I thought about several potential consequences if I fought back. I was afraid of facing legal repercussions or losing my job. So I chose to do nothing.”
Suphachai was compelled to shave his entire head as the noticeable gap in his fringe was impossible to conceal. He also complained to the local police and hoped for an apology from the Russian man, although it’s challenging since the individual has already departed Thailand.
In contrast to the previous incident, a heartwarming video circulating online illustrates how strangers can rally behind individuals battling cancer. The footage depicts a barber attending to a woman undergoing cancer treatment, who was at the salon to have her head shaved. Many cancer patients opt to shave their heads before beginning chemotherapy, as it often leads to significant hair loss.

During the procedure, as the woman’s head was being shaved, it was evident that the moment held immense emotional significance for her. Touched by the situation, the barber assisting her made a compassionate gesture by shaving off his hair in solidarity, showing his unwavering support for the woman.
