IndiGo passenger finds a screw inside sandwich ordered on a Bengaluru-Chennai flight. Check viral post.

Isn’t it increasingly difficult to find a meal that ticks all the boxes – ‘quality, taste, and no contaminants’? The frequency of incidents revealing everything from cockroaches to worms finding their way into meals lacking quality standards suggests that outside food is no longer the safe, trustworthy option it once was. Adding to this alarming trend, a recent incident involving an IndiGo passenger underscores the severity of the situation.

Taking to Reddit, a user, @MacaroonIll3601, shared images revealing a startling discovery within their sandwich—a sizable screw, presumably consumed at an airport. The photographs, posted under the ‘Bangalore’ subreddit, depicted a ‘Spinach and Corn’ sandwich adorned with an ‘IndiGo’ sticker, indicating its origin on a flight they boarded on February 1st. Detailing their ordeal, the OP recounted, “While traveling in Indigo recently on 01/02/24 from BNG to Chennai I got a screw in my sandwich.”

Further elaborating, they disclosed their attempt to seek redressal from IndiGo, only to receive a disheartening response alleging that since the sandwich was consumed post-flight, it didn’t warrant consideration. Consequently, the OP sought advice on how to effectively address the issue with IndiGo in their now-viral post.

Predictably, the comment section echoed sentiments of shock and dismay at the airline’s apparent negligence. “So that’s where missing boeing nuts are…But in all seriousness this is very risky what if a child ingested that.. Airlines are whores of india they go unchecked with numerous complaints. You can do everything but s**t wont happen if it America you’d be a millionaire,” remarked one user.

“Pls reach out to their ceo and founder and higher management on linkedin and share this with them. Start with writing a post on Linkedin about your experience, no apology and how dangerous can this be for anyone and everyone. Everyone takes linkedin seriously. I am sure fb, insta wont help you but Linkedin definitely will. If possible, tag the ceo and airlines,” suggested another.

“You can raise a complaint to DGCA,” advised the third commenter.
