We’re always on the lookout for the coolest places to stay on vacation that are also budget-friendly and offer good value. Finding affordable lodging in popular tourist spots can feel like a dream. However, one American traveller managed to secure accommodation in Bangkok for just one dollar (Rs 84) per night. In his YouTube video “What’s Inside a $1 Airbnb?”, Mike Rari explores and reveals his experience staying at this incredibly inexpensive Airbnb in Thailand.

“I paid one dollar for this Airbnb, and I’m going to show you guys inside,” said the content creator. The video, which Viral Press first released, provides an unbiased view of the living circumstances that go along with this cheap price.

Though its precise location is unknown, the rental flat is reportedly a ten-minute drive from Chinatown in the Thai capital.

The accompanying video shows the globetrotter ascending a ladder of an outdated complex on raised platforms to reach a front porch constructed of “scrap wood.”

Upon opening the door to his modest residence, Rari finds a floor cot covered in a mosquito net, a garbage can, a fan, and a drawer containing his possessions.

In the video, the influencer raved about how this old space made him feel “right at home” as it included a US flag.

In addition, Rari displayed a kitchen area that consisted of a table with gadgets including a rice cooker, boiler and refrigerator, as well as exercise equipment and an outdoor laundry station. The common shower and toilet, which consisted of a bucket that the tenant filled and threw over themselves, completed the dollar bin accommodations.

Additionally, there was a protected cabinet available for rental for about three cents.
