As soon as the video was dropped, it struck the right chords with the audiences. The video has garnered over 14,000 views. Users were impressed after watching the talented kid’s stage performance. “Wow indeed. He needs to be mentored carefully so that he can create original music as he grows up. Too much talent in all fields – especially in the North East – is wasted recreating what others have already done,” a user said. “This is so good. Truly mesmerising,” an account remarked.

About Hornbill Festival:

Naga Heritage Village, in the Kohima District of Nagaland, hosts the Hornbill Festival annually. The occasion exemplifies and highlights the state’s tribal culture. Due to its grandeur, the event is also known as the “Festival of Festivals.” It’s named after the lovely bird known as the “Hornbill,” which is said to be a feature of several local folktales. It is a 10-day cultural extravaganza.

In September 2023, Nagaland Minister Along announced that Hornbill Festival is never the same every year and this year. At the meeting with stakeholders for the upcoming Hornbill Festival held at Hotel Japfu in Kohima, the Minister said, “We welcome all tourists from around the world to come to Nagaland, enjoy, and have the experience of a lifetime.”

The Festival has become a global sensation as the US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, expressed his enchantment with the vibrant celebration of Naga heritage. Minister Temjen Imna Along thanked Garcetti for his visit.
