‘Iron Dome For Home’: Anand Mahindra Has A Solution As Dengue Cases Surge In Mumbai
The video footage showed a small-scale anti-missile protection system that appears to have been modified to fight mosquitoes.

From August 1 to August 14, at least 555 dengue cases were reported to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). According to the civic authorities, there might be an additional increase in the number of infections by September or October if the rain continues. There are rules to follow in the interim to prevent mosquitoes from breeding close to you. Amid soaring dengue incidences in Mumbai during the monsoon season, Anand Mahindra uploaded a video of a device that can effectively seek out and eliminate mosquitoes at home. This Chinese-made device was dubbed the “Iron Dome for Home” by the business tycoon.

The gadget, which is referred to as a tiny laser-powered cannon, was created by a Chinese engineer and has gained widespread attention in recent months because of its capacity to identify and eliminate mosquitoes.

The video footage showed a small-scale anti-missile protection system that appears to have been modified to fight mosquitoes. The gadget has a laser pointer that kills mosquitoes and a radar system that finds them nearby.

Dead mosquitoes are also seen in the video glued in a row on the pages of a notepad.

With more than 2 lakh views, the users were interested to know more about the device.

A user asked, “Looks prototype, will this work in the dark?”

Another user with a different query said, “Good invention sir. Is it cost effective??”

A user lauded the invention saying, “China and its innovations are far ahead of the rest of the world.”

An individual commented, “You just gave me a billionaire business idea.”

The video first became popular on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, according to Next Shark. According to reports, the system’s engineer altered an electric car’s radar to find the mosquitoes and a strong laser pointer to eliminate them.

He even keeps track of hundreds of mosquitoes that he claims the laser has killed in a notebook he refers to as his “death note.”

In the meantime, the BMC has seen a rise in dengue, chikungunya and leptospirosis infections in the city in just the first two weeks of August in comparison with June and July.
