‘Police Chauki Ke Saamne Ganja Milta Hai’: Student’s Bold Revelation Lauded Online
A college student asked a courageous question to police officials during a drug de-addiction campaign.

Drug abuse among youngsters, particularly among university and college students, is a growing concern for parents and authorities. The availability of these harmful substances is also an equally bigger issue. Confronting the police officials about the same, a college student has taken the internet by storm.

In a now-viral video, during a drug de-addiction campaign, a college student is seen asking police officials why the drugs were available “so conveniently” to students.

“Sir, we have seen such a big program of drug de-addiction campaign, but the university is the biggest epicenter of drug addiction. Today, students from four universities are gathered here. Getting ‘Ganja’ or any intoxicating substance is as easy as getting toffee or lollipop,” he said.

“If a first or second-year student can trace or track the drug dealers, then why can’t police do so? Are the police lagging behind?” he further asked.

“Being a student here, I know that there is a police station nearby and ‘ganja’ is available right in front of the post. So, don’t you think this is a failure of the police?” he added.

The viral video was captioned, “A student from Dr BR Ambedkar National Law University, Sonipat, showed courage by addressing an issue that the police were avoiding discussing.”

Needless to say, the clip went immensely viral within a few hours of being shared. Social media users couldn’t keep calm but heaped praise on the college student. Many filled the comment section by appreciating the student’s question and calling him ‘courageous,’ while others agreed with the student and said that if the police want, they can catch all these drug dealers, but they don’t because of local politicians.

“Excellent question and courageous kid indeed. We’re asking the exact same questions here in the US (small town high school in the pnw) and guess what? They’re not able to answer,” praised a user.

Another commented, “Very courageous kid. We need more like him. The future of this country is bright.”

“Yeah, it’s all over in all the departments. It’s called hafta!! The major problem is the ground level corruption which still needs to be addressed,” wrote another user.

An account exclaimed, “I appreciate what the student said but has to understand law first. Why not report if something is going wrong? He is also a civilian and can do his duty. Why are we so dependent on the system.”

“Well said! Even now you can get drugs outside the schools. If police want, they can catch all these drug dealers in 1 week. But I guess it will not be good for the police and local politicians for their personal interests,” added another.

Another individual remarked, “More power to him. Haryana Police we need to rethink.”

Shared three hours ago, the clip has pulled in more than 202,000 views and over 6,900 likes.
