India is currently facing off New Zealand in the first Test match of their three match series at home. After the first day’s play was washed out, India was bowled out for just 46 on Day 2. The match, which is being played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, entered day three where India is trailing behind New Zealand. While social media is abuzz with updates about the match, Mohammed Siraj has been stealing the spotlight for several reasons. First, he was appointed as the Telangana Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), then him sledging New Zealand opener Devon Conway, and now fans can’t stop talking about his striking resemblance to Punjabi singer AP Dhillon.

On day 2 of the first Test India and New Zealand, Mohammed Siraj exchanged heated words with Conway after the batter struck him for a boundary. The incident occurred during the 15th over of New Zealand’s first innings. Following the boundary, Siraj sledged Conway after his next delivery, but the left-handed batsman remained calm.

It also caught the attention of former India skipper Virat Kohli on the field and commentator Sunil Gavaskar. He humourously chimed in, saying, “Don’t forget that he’s a DSP now. I wonder if he was given a salute by the teammates.”
